The Finnish footwear industry has long roots. Plenty of knowledge has been accrued and the vocational education in the sector is of high quality. We have a deep understanding of how a functional shoe is supposed to be designed and manufactured in order to withstand our challenging circumstances. We Finns are not the only ones whose shoes are put to the test by weather conditions. There is a demand for Finnish original design and Finnish know-how across the world. Emil Aaltosen muistorahasto believes in the future of the Finnish footwear industry and wants to actively support Finnish workers therein.
